Job Responsibilities:  Responsible for budget, accounting and administrative support to the SDSU Facilities & Services department; critical fiscal and financial information about building improvements and capital construction; deliver financial compliance under SDSU, OSE and BOR regulations for projects, construction and capitalized assets such as buildings; maintain real estate records and inventories of rooms, buildings and land records, including replacement values; provide financial support and fund management services to Project Management and Engineering and Planning sections of Facilities and Services as well as assisting Facilities & Services leadership and staff with construction project accounting. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of: 

Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), practices and standards and auditing standards (GAAS)
Construction and facilities fiscal management
Real estate, land, and building records/inventory
Computer software systems and applications

Skill and Ability to:

Compile, verify, organize and report real estate records
Coordinate data exchanges and audit process
Maintain accurate and complete project records
Perform funding reviews for new or proposed projects or initiatives
Provide customer service, internal and external, to promote Facilities and Services as a premier service organization
Reconcile time management records
Comprehend and apply pertinent laws, rules and policies
Research, compile and analyze data
Proficiently use multiple data systems
Manage large amounts of complex data
Maintain high level of accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive data
Effectively interact with on campus personnel and administrators and positively represent the university to other campuses and central administrators

Comments:  Construction and facilities management background is preferred.  Excellent analytical, time management, technology and communication skills are essential.  Combination of experience and/or two years college coursework in accounting or related area preferred.  SDSU is a tobacco free environment.
