The Boys & Girls Club of Brookings Preschool/Junior Kindergarten program is an all day, Monday through Friday program. At the Clubhouse Preschool, children inspire lesson plans as they share their interests with the teachers and teachers will provide content by having a sound understanding of child development. In addition, teachers will offer activities and materials that enable children to participate in activities matched to their various learning styles.
First Lutheran Preschool provides young children with a fun Christian learning environment with an emphasis on kindergarten readiness. Our program provides the opportunity for your child to develop his/her spiritual, physical, emotional, cognitive, and social skills.
The Fishback Center for Early Childhood Education provides a setting in which excellence in developmentally appropriate practice and best practices in education theory can be observed, studied, used by teacher candidates, and used by other pre-service school professionals. The center’s philosophy is grounded in social constructivism and inquiry-based learning. Children are capable, competent, and able to build their knowledge through exploration and social interaction.
GracePoint Preschool emphasizes the development of the whole child through active learning. They strive for a balanced, nurturing, caring, developmental approach to education for children who are 3, 4, and 5 years old. They believe comprehensive preschool education should be age-appropriate and based on solid child development principles. It should address the child’s development in the following areas: social, emotional, physical, cognitive and spiritual.
The purpose of the Peace Lutheran Early Childhood Center is to provide a caring atmosphere for young children in which they experience the love of God and His people. The Center is committed to: excellence in its programs; offering children a healthy, loving, Christian environment; helping children learn and develop creatively; encouraging children to mature emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually; and provide quality care at a reasonable price.
St. Thomas More Preschool is a licensed child care center. We promote a developmentally appropriate curriculum that provides faith based educational opportunities as well as fosters the skills necessary for school success. As educators, we partner with families to help children gain a better understanding of themselves and their world as a part of God’s plan. Each child is nurtured with care and respect recognizing his/her own unique interests, abilities, and needs. Our hands-on approach to learning encourages the development of social, physical, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual skills through experiences designed to stimulate the child’s inquisitive, explorative, and creative nature.
